Portugal missed a last-minute penalty as they were denied a first World Cup win after a dramatic 25-24 defeat by Georgia in Tbilisi.
Lasha Khmaladze slotted over the winning penalty in the 80th minute to break Portuguese hearts and keep Georgia in with a chance of qualifying for the last eight.
Portugal had led 24-15 with 15 minutes remaining thanks to tries from Samuel Marques, Rodrigo Marta and Rafael Simoes.
